Taos recebe nota máxima de segurança

O Volkswagen Taos recebeu nota máxima no Latin NCAP. Até pouco tempo, receber cinco estrelas no instituto independente que afere a segurança veicular para os automóveis vendidos na América Latina e Caribe era algo corriqueiro. Mas ultimamente ficou mais complicado.

Os novos protocolos de ensaios elevaram o sarrafo, o que tornou mais difícil para os automóveis atingirem notas elevadas. O Taos, segundo a VW, é o primeiro a conseguir pontuação máxima no protocolo, que ficará em vigor até 2024.

Junto do Taos, T-Cross, Polo, Virtus e Jetta também obtiveram notas elevadas no Latin NCAP. A marca credita o bom resultado à plataforma modular MQB, combinada com os itens de segurança embarcada, como disponibilidade de bolsas laterais e assistentes de condução.

O Taos pode ser equipado com controle cruzeiro adaptativo (ACC), frenagem autônoma de emergência (AEB) com detector de pedestres, detector de ponto cego e assistente de manobra. No entanto, o pacote de assistentes é oferecido como opcional na versão Comfortline.
