VW investirá R$ 7 bilhões até 2026

A Volkswagen anunciou investimentos de R$ 7 bilhões para os próximos cinco anos na América Latina. Parte do aporte será utilizado para criar uma nova família de automóveis com base na plataforma MQB.

Na prática serão quatro modelos compactos, compostos por um hatch, sedã, picape e SUV. Resumindo: os sucessores das atuais gerações de Gol, Voyage e Saveiro, além de um jipinho abaixo do Nivus. O novo Gol deverá estrear em  2024. No entanto, o futuro da atual geração é garantido até o final de 2022.

Polo Track

Antes disso, a marca gastará um bocado dessa grana para reestilizar a dupla Polo e Virtus, que deverá seguir os ajustes aplicados na Europa. De novidade mesmo, a VW anunciou o Polo Track, previsto para 2023.

Com produção na unidade de Taubaté (SP), a versão aventureira do compacto chega a se posicionar num segmento que perdeu lastro e que hoje conta com opções como Argo Trekking, HB20X e (Sandero) Stepway. Ele irá se posicionar abaixo do Nivus.

VW Tarok

No final de 2021, durante uma live com a imprensa, o presidente da Volkswagen para América Latina, Pablo di Si, adiantou os passos da VW para os próximos anos. Segundo o executivo, a marca daria prioridade no segmento de picapes. E para esse plano de investimentos surgem três produtos: A nova Saveiro, a segunda geração da Amarok e a chegada definitiva da rival da Fiat Toro, a Tarok.

Já divulgado na imprensa argentina, o projeto da picape Tarok foi retomado e deve chegar ao mercado no primeiro trimestre de 2025. Apresentada no Salão do Automóvel de 2018, a rival da Toro, que compartilha plataforma com o Taos, encruou devido a falta de caixa, motivada pela pandemia do Covid-19. Com R$ 7 bi no porquinho, agora não tem mais desculpa. É ou não é?
