A Peugeot convoca proprietários do hatch 208 devido ao risco de ruptura do eixo traseiro. Segundo a marca francesa, as unidades envolvidas são da atual geração, fabricada na Argentina e com fabricação entre 13 de outubro de 2020 a 7 de janeiro de 2021.

Segundo a marca, os proprietários deverão levar seus carros para inspeção e se necessária a troca do eixo. A peça sustenta o sistema de suspensão traseira, que conecta as rodas à carroceria.

Em caso de quebra, o motorista poderá perder o controle direcional, o que pode levar a um acidente e possível fatalidade.

De acordo com a marca, os proprietários já podem fazer o agendamento para a vistoria, que leva cerca de 15 minutos. Caso seja identificada a necessidade de troca da peça, são necessárias 4 horas para a substituição.
