Fiat completa 45 anos de Brasil

A Fiat completa nesta sexta-feira (9) 45 anos de suas operações no Brasil. A marca italiana inaugurou suas atividades em julho de 1976, na unidade de Betim (MG).

E como como em toda festa, teve bolo. Mas o bolo veio com uma gorda fatia de 26,4% de participação de mercado em junho. Segundo os executivos, a marca nunca tinha atingido tal percentual.

“Temos muito orgulho de nossas raízes mineiras. Há 45 anos, a Fiat iniciou suas operações aqui em Betim e começou a produzir automóveis que agradaram o consumidor de todo o Brasil. Investimos muito, inovamos sempre e impulsionamos a instalação de dezenas de fornecedores no entorno de nossa fábrica”, disse o presidente da Stellantis para a América do Sul, Antonio Filosa.

Durante entrevista coletiva, executivos ressaltaram que planta de Betim se tornou uma das principais referências para as operações globais da marca. Boa parte de produtos desenvolvidos na Europa e Estados Unidos são validados na unidade mineira.

“Como resultado, consolidamos um extenso e diversificado parque industrial automotivo, conquistamos a liderança do mercado brasileiro e sul-americano e empregamos milhares de pessoas que desenvolveram seus talentos e são hoje nosso grande diferencial”, acrescentou.
