Compass completa cinco anos de mercado

A Jeep celebra cinco anos de mercado do Compass no mercado brasileiro. O SUV foi lançado no segundo semestre de 2016 e acumula 315 mil unidades produzidas na planta pernambucana da Stellantis, em Goiana.

A planta nordestina foi a primeira unidade do grupo a produzir a atual geração do SUV. Atualmente é vendido em mais de 100 mercados, segundo a fabricante.

“O Compass é um verdadeiro case de sucesso da Jeep. Ele chegou com a função de ditar um novo rumo para o mercado de SUVs, o que de fato cumpriu. Inclusive, trouxe para a sua categoria um alto nível de tecnologia, sofisticação e design. Neste ano, todos estes atributos ficaram ainda mais evidentes com o Novo Compass, que também foi responsável por trazer a performance da nova motorização T270 turbo flex. Esta combinação perfeita resultou em mais marcos para a história da Jeep, sendo que a nova geração apresentada em 2021 foi um sucesso desde a sua pré-venda”, afirma Alexandre Aquino, diretor do Brand Jeep para a América Latina.

Líder absoluto entre os SUVs médios, o Compass acumula 52.860 unidades licenciadas desde janeiro. O SUV compartilha motores e base com o Renegade, assim como a picape Fiat Toro, que também são produzidas em Goiana.

Este ano, o Compass passou por seu primeiro facelift, com a inclusão do motor T270 1.3 turbo de 180 cv e 27 kgfm de torque. A unidade substituiu o antigo 2.0 de 166 cv.
